Communication and connections

When working with remote support and smart glasses inside a building, on a ship or similar, there are many ways to achieve the perfect connection.

Connecting to Wi-Fi, LTE modem or Internet sharing

Wi-Fi: In most cases, you will be able to achieve a good connection by using the Wi-Fi that you are near.

LTE modem: You also have the option of using a RealWear LTE modem with a built-in SIM card - it is attached to the RealWear HMT-1 glasses.

Internet sharing: Last but not least, you can use your smartphone for internet sharing with your smartglasses.

Connection via own router

In some buildings a little more is required from the connection, and here you can use a slightly larger router, for example one where 2 SIM cards can be inserted, so that you can get the best possible connection at all times. The two SIM cards must each have their own provider, and the router will then automatically find the best network.

Suitcase solution

In cases where it is very difficult to get a connection inside a building, our suitcase solution can be used. One suitcase (containing the router) is placed outside or near a window, and the other suitcase is then placed inside the building (containing the access point). The two suitcases are connected via a cable, so that the connection is optimal.

Connection to multiple access points

It can sometimes be useful to have multiple fixed access points if you need to provide ongoing remote support in a location where the connection is difficult to access - for example, on a ship or in an animal barn that is divided due to high hygiene and safety requirements.
