Fast support from our own or external experts
When you use smart glasses in your production, your employees can easily share knowledge with each other - and they can be guided by both internal and external experts.
Focus on safety, efficiency and more optimal working methods in production
Maintenance and repairs on your equipment and facilities are easily handled using digital workflow in a pair of smartglasses - this way you also avoid paper manuals, physical drawings and/or a laptop, which you almost always lack a place to place when servicing in production.
Your manuals can be updated continuously via the software, so you always have the latest version in your smartglasses.
There are many advantages to working with manuals and workflows in smartglasses, and one of the things that we most often hear has the highest priority is employee safety and efficiency. In the past, these two areas were not areas that went in the same direction, but with the introduction of smartglasses in daily work in productions, you now don't have to stand with your head in a manual to carry out complicated repairs on the production equipment, and you can therefore focus both on the equipment you are working with and on the surroundings, while at the same time being guided through the task. In productions where you have to move around, it also provides extra security that you have both hands free, so that you can easily hold on to railings etc. when you move around the production and perhaps up stairs, ladders, etc. The increased security goes hand in hand with the fact that the employee can also work more efficiently using his smartglasses, where he/she becomes significantly more efficient, as the glasses are spoken to instead of scrolling through drawings or clicking around on your laptop.
Here you can see how RealWear smartglasses are used at Messer Group & Seaport Steel:
RealWear HMT-1 smartglasses save you a lot of unnecessary costs for broken smartphones and tablets
When you work with workflow and remote support systems in your production, there are people who use smartphones and tablets, and this is also far better than the traditional paper manuals - but there are also some disadvantages that you have to be aware of! The biggest disadvantage is of course that you most often use your hands to navigate on both phone and tablet, and thus that you do not have your hands free for the task you are about to perform, which, as previously mentioned, can provide both practical and safety challenges.
In addition, it also happens quite often that you just have to put the device down, but it is difficult to find a safe place in the middle of machines and people in production - and a lot of money is spent on replacing smartphones and tablets , which has broken after a trip on the floor. One way to avoid this is, of course, to use robust smartphones or robust tablets - but an even more optimal way is to use smartglasses, which sit on your head during the entire work task, which are not in the way - and when we're talking RealWear HMT-1 can withstand being dropped from a height of 2 meters and directly onto a concrete floor. Not that we recommend you throw the glasses on the floor, but they can actually withstand it without any problems.
